About this Death Cafe

Death, Dying and that awful dread of what happens and what we do when we lose a loved one is something we seldom feel comfortable to talk about. We have a fear and so if we don’t talk about it, it will never happen. Or that we don’t want to sound, “odd” or macabre... Perhaps even, we can’t talk about as to how we feel because it’s still too an emotional subject as maybe someone else’s grief could still be too raw. Or is it something you want to plan for, but your family are aghast and “close you down” from discussing this.

Either ways, a donut and a cuppa helps to put the world to rights.   And we, from the Good Funeral Company, alongside our other professional colleagues, hope to offer you a safe space in which you can ask us questions, process your thoughts and possibly meet others thinking the same thoughts as yourself.

The Good Funeral company consists of three celebrants, who all bring their own varied life experience to their roles.



Our celebrants understand the way in which families come together to express grief and sadness, and how each member of the family needs an opportunity to be heard. Your celebrant will always be willing to include everyone in the conversations, children, siblings, friends and family. In this way, we know that we can create the best ceremony possible.
