About this Death Cafe

Our Death Cafés are very informal with everyone given the opportunity to speak as much or as little as they would like. We also usually have a selection of home baking available (contributions always welcome!) 

We aim to run them on the first Thursday of each month (although sometimes we are a week out). 

The facilitors are local members of the community, and whilst they have a background in the world of palliative care they are not trained bereavement or counselling professionals, however we are happy to help signpost you to great local organisation if you need further support. 

About Curious Mortals

Curious Mortals grew from a desire to create a compassionate community in the Southside of Glasgow. We want neighbours, families and friends to feel comfortable reaching out and supporting each another through loss, grief and bereavement.

Over the years we have seen the impact of these conversations and encourage everyone to be a little more curious about mortality!
