About this Death Cafe
EVERYONE (over 18) is welcome!!
We will keep to the Death Cafe model, please be sure to read and digest the information in the "About" section of the Death Cafe website: https://deathcafe.com/what/ before you attend.
It is IMPORTANT that all participants understand a number of things:
1) The Death Cafe Model (link, above)
2) This is a discussion session, NOT a grief therapy, group counseling, or any sort of healing session. Your organizer is not a clinician, and while clinicians are welcome, this is not a space to provide or receive any form of clinical support.
3) This event is about sharing death-related ideas and information and experiences (briefly, please). If you're currently processing trauma or grief, please see #2 above and consider group or other forms of actual therapy.
4) You'll likely hear something that runs counter to your own beliefs. Please treat all conversations with courtesy and respect.
5) Death Cafe sessions are confidential. What goes in Death Cafe stays in Death Cafe.
I will provide decaf coffee and some carbs. You're welcome to bring your own coffee, tea, other soft drink, and/or snacks.

Your host is just a regular person (not a clinician, mortician, etc.) who attended his first Death Cafe in January of 2023.
He was active with a Denver-area Death Cafe for a bit over a year and then went on to run Death Cafes as well as his own death-focused discussion, film, and event group as he travels around.
