About Kate Saunders
Kate is an end-of-life doula in training at Stratford Career Institute and a member of NEDA (National End-of-Life Doula Alliance).
Kate's path into end-of-life care began years ago while working as a CNA on a hospital comfort care floor. In those early days, she witnessed firsthand the tenderness, intensity, and sacredness that surround life’s final chapter. Sitting at bedsides, offering emotional support to families, and learning to recognize the subtle signs of transition shaped her in ways she didn’t fully understand at the time.
When her father passed years later, that experience allowed her to guide her own family through his final days with calm clarity. Having sat with many other important people as they made their final transition, she is not afraid of death, she's deeply respectful of it.
