About this Death Cafe

Join us at Front Street Coffeehouse on Wednesday evening, March 18th, for an evening of organic conversation about death and dying. The agenda is that there is no agenda! I will share guided prompts to get us in the flow, and it will develop from there. As a socially shy extrovert, I work really hard to include everyone in the conversation and help people feel as welcome as I’d want to be in a new space, especially when discussing potentially sensitive topics. I hope you can join us!

About Meg Nichols

Meg Majors Nichols is a Massachusetts–licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She graduated with honors from North Shore Community College with an A.S. in Funeral Service in 2025 and completed Going With Grace’s Death Doula training in 2024.

Meg is also a professional artist and sign painter, working with New England businesses as Painted Lady Sign Company. Her path into funeral service grew from a long-held interest influenced by her grandfather, who owned and operated a funeral home and ambulance service in St. Albans, Vermont for over 40 years. After the pandemic, her curiosity deepened as she learned more about the Death Positive movement and the need for thoughtful, progressive care in the death industry. With encouragement from her family, Meg took the leap into funeral service. Today, she is building a career that blends traditional funeral service with hands-on death doula support, grounded in education, transparency, and judgment-free care.
