About this Death Cafe
Greetings,
My name is Sara Anondson and I have been doing end of life work as both a holistic practicioner and end-of-life doula in the greater Twin Cities over the last 5 years in addition to providing events supporting our local community through meditations, sound baths workshops and more. I am passionate about living and dying well, and helping clients prepare for what that means for them and the legacy they want to leave behind.
In 2019 I walked end of life with my father-in-law and it was such a sacred time period that it launched me into this work both for myself and as a way of honoring him. Both preparations and discussions around end-of-life were challenging for the family and I want to help normalize these topics and ideas in our community by opening the discussion around death and dying.
This event is sponsored by Sacred Oaks Healing and Lakewoods Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
We begin with a community gathering at 4:30 with cake, coffee, and tea. Then at 5:00pm we start with a quick meditation and lead into introductions and conversatio, closing at 6:00pm with a brief grounding.
If you have any specific questions or concerns please reachout in advance.
