About this Death Cafe
We have been running since 2017, on Zoom during the pandemic.There are usually 3 or 4 co-facilitators and we split into a smallish groups around tables. In January however there may only be one or possibly two of us, as the other two are travelling. We provide tea and biscuits because it was decided nobody wanted cake! We ask people to arrive in good time so we can start promptly and for the atmosphere of the caffeine not to be affected by late arrivals or early departures.
About David Thurston
David is retired GO and psychiatrist and a Buddhist. He has been a co-facilitator of the Oxford Death Cafe since its inception in 2017. He enjoys singing, poetry, walking his dog, travelling, family and friends.
