About this Death Cafe
Those interested in placing conversations around death and dying off the taboo list and back in normal, healthy conversation are invited to join me next Monday for a relaxed cuppa and cake from 11am-1 pm at 111 Darley st, Newtown
NB
Come and chat about death and dying and how to live more fully by talking about death more fully....
RSVP by text (so I can cater thanks) to 0425213338
NB This is a not for profit event and encourages healthy discussion around death; it is not intended to be a bereavement, grief or therapy session and may at times be a lighthearted discussion...freeflowing and deliberately without an agenda so it can be spontaneous, natural and honest.
About Melissa Halliday
Melissa Halliday the host and facilitator is a Palliative and Dementia Care Volunteer, funeral celebrant, writer, yoga teacher and community choir singer with qualifications in Arts/Law, Yoga Teaching and Remedial Massage.
She believes that none of these degrees and diplomas matter in the scheme of things as death and death literacy requires no qualification other than being human, an open heart and mind and a desire to live life more fully in the context of our own mortality, whatever that means to us.
She has worked in the legal field as a solicitor, has been a wedding, same sex and funeral celebrant and Trainer for over ten years. She has an 87 year old father who is writing his own Eulogy and she delights in facilitating end of life conversations that normalise death as a part of life.
