About this Death Cafe

I love the mission of Death Cafes-- to facilitate a warm, reflective space to explore mortality, dying, and what it means to truly live. through curiosity and conversation, we can normalize the one thing we all share— and perhaps find more meaning in the now.

In American culture, death is often a taboo, dark topic that is met with fear and avoidance. i am here to bring light and curiosity to it. and not just our mortaility, but all matters of death that impact us— whether it be the end of relationships, the loss of loved ones, the death of parts of ourselves, reincarnation, the afterlife, and grief in all of its forms.

As a nonmonogamous / polyamorous person, i recognize that deathcare in America is not designed to support folks with nontraditional relationships.I hope to facilitate a space for nonmonogamous / polyamorous folks to explore how their unique relationships may impact their experiences of end-of-life conversations, planning, care, and grief.
