An Online Death Cafe
About this Death Cafe
We've chosen to host this seasonal online Death Cafe because we beilieve that we are much stronger together than apart. There is a freedom and camaraderie we find in our community calls that we find only with other deathworkers, and we want to uplift and invite other deathworkers to join in these important conversations. Deathworkers especially need spaces to discuss death and their own process. That's why we are here.

About Beyond The Veil Doula Collective
Beyond The Veil Doula Collective is a community of doulas. We gather once/month for free community meetings, and starting September 2025, we are offering one death cafe each season specifically for deathworkers from all backgrounds.
As a collective serving in the end-of-life space, BVDC fulfills multiple roles: community support group, online content hub, referral directory, and community organizer. Our guiding principle is to bridge gaps within death and dying communities, foster meaningful relationships, and cultivate brave spaces for open dialogue around mortality and death care.
We are committed to offering both group and one-on-one peer support, organizing regular gatherings, increasing death literacy, and providing community education. Through decentralized access to doulas locally and globally, we aim to give back to our communities and amplify each member’s practice.
We uphold the values of inclusivity and comprehensive care. We support individuals and families of all identities, cultures, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds. Our vision is to bridge the realms of healthcare, death care, and grief support, ensuring consistent, communication-centered service. Above all, we believe every person deserves dignity and agency at the end of life.
Our mission is to bring together the various facets of death care, providing ease, trust, and peace of mind to those we serve.
