About this Death Cafe

Come and join us at Bell House for a unique and thought-provoking event which aims to increase death literacy and encourage all communities to get talking in whatever way, shape or form works for them. At this Death Cafe, we will provide a safe space to openly discuss death, dying, and everything in between. It's a chance for people of all ages to drink tea and coffee, eat cake and share your thoughts, fears, and questions in a supportive environment. Whether you're curious about end-of-life matters or looking to share your experiences with others, this event is for you. Let's break the taboo and have some real conversations about the one thing we all have in common.

About ANN KENRICK

Ann Kenrick is a UK charity leader, end-of-life advocate, and speaker. She spent decades in senior roles—including 21 years as Secretary-General of the Franco-British Council—and later became the first female Master & CEO of the historic Charterhouse almshouse, where she opened up access to female residents. More recently, Ann founded End of Life Matters, runs community Death Cafés and talks, and volunteers with hospices, drawing on her training as an end-of-life planning facilitator and doula. She is a Trustee of St Christopher's hospice.

Trevor Moore worked as a humanist funeral celebrant for 14 years. Through that work he met many people facing death, as well as families and friends of those who had died. He found this life-affirming, because he discovered that every life is worth celebrating. He facilitates death cafes as he hopes others can come to appreciate that our inevitable death is nothing to fear.
