About this Death Cafe

We're hosting this Death cafe for the purpose of helping psychiatric nursing students and other community members become more comfortable in discussing death and dying.  As Dr. Kathy Kortez Miller said, "Talking about Death won't kill you!"

About Sharran Mullins & Terri Miller

Sharran is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and Assistant Professor at Brandon University in the Faculty of Heath Studies.  She is interested in Palliative and Hospice Care and believes we all benefit from increasing our death literacy.

Terri Miller is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and owner of a private practice counselling service.  She is on the board of directors of the Westman Hospice Association and has a passion for end-of-life hospice care.
