About this Death Cafe

The denial of death creates an unbalanced relationship with our life and our future experience with death. Death is not an existential problem that should be avoided, rather a natural part of the cycle of life that should be discussed.  A Death Cafe is the perfect place to start! Come and find out how discussing death, is life affirming. Death Cafes have no agenda, they are a group-directed discussion where we will share respectful, though-provoking ideas and conversation around topics of loss, bereavement, death, and dying. There is no religious or organizations affiliated with Death Cafe.

My name is Kat and I am a local hospice nurse and death doula. I have a passion for raising death neutrality and engaging in conversations around topics that surround death and dying to better prepare ourselves for end of life.
