About this Death Cafe
Jody Thomas and I co-host the Carpinteria Death Cafe because we want to create a welcoming space to talk openly about a topic many avoid or fear — death. Our gatherings are relaxed, judgment-free, and designed to foster conversation, connection, and reflection. We provide a safe environment where people can share stories, ask questions, and explore their thoughts and feelings around life’s impermanence. This event is proudly hosted at the Carpinteria Library.
