About this Death Cafe
Homewood Friends Meeting Community Building and Outreach Team is inviting all Friends and friends to attend a Death Cafe.
Join us for a thoughtful, intimate conversation about death over cupcakes in the serene setting of the Friends Burial Ground.
Death Cafes provide a liberating space to share beliefs, curiosities, fears, and stories on the topic of death and dying. Rather than a grief support group or counseling session, our format is an open discussion circle group with no set agenda.
Cupcakes will be provided but please bring your own beverage and blanket or folding chairs. (We will have extras.)

To keep the Death Cafe intimate and to allow all the opportunity to share (if they so wish), we only have space for 15. The cap has been reached, but please feel free to use the link below to be added to our waitlist and notified if there is an opening.

About Tara Reilly
Tara Reilly and Alejandro Perez will be co-hosting the 11/1 Death Cafe.
Tara is a cemetery explorer, tree hugger, clinical social worker, and Quaker/Friend with a desire to challenge societal norms and create a welcoming space where discussing death does not feel morose or taboo.
Alejandro is a writer, technologist, board gamer, and Quaker/Friend with a desire to build community around our shared mortality.
