About this Death Cafe

I'm host Death Cafe because I believe that talking about death helps us live more fully. As a death doula, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to gather in community, share stories, and make space for both vulnerability and curiosity. These events are casual, welcoming, and conversation-driven—no agenda, no judgment. We usually start with coffee and cake and let the conversation flow organically from there.

This event is generously supported by Union Coffee, our long-time host and sponsor, and Snap Bakeshop, who provides the beautiful cakes that sweeten the evening. Whether you're new to Death Cafe or a returning guest, you are always welcome here.

About Britna Savarese

Britna Savarese is a certified death doula and the host of two monthly Death Cafes in Dallas–Uptown and Farmers Branch. With a deep commitment to compassionate conversation around mortality, she also facilitates Death Cafes for workplaces processing grief after loss. Britna creates welcoming, judgment-free spaces where people can reflect, connect, and talk openly about death and dying.
