About this Death Cafe
I did some work with Compassionate Sheffield during the 2024 Dying Matters Festival and realised that there was a huge need in the nearby community for a safe space for people to come and talk about their feelings around grief, death and other types of loss. We follow the ethos of the classic Death Cafe for it to be a safe and welcoming space and for the discussion to flow as the participants need.
Refreshments are free and I always try to bring some nice snacks!

Sheryl is the librarian at Crystal Peaks, a local public library in Sheffield.
Ayesha initially came to the Crystal Peaks Life, Loss & Death Cafe as a participant but was keen to support the work being done and has joined in as a co-facilitator.
