About this Death Cafe
Too often, we avoid talking about death—out of fear, discomfort, or simply not knowing how. But in my own life, some of the most healing and meaningful moments have come through open conversations about death with the people I love.
Being able to speak honestly with my mom and stepfather about their wishes brought us closer, eased our fears, and helped us face the inevitable with clarity and peace. When the time came, their passings were beautiful—because their voices had been heard, their wishes honored.
That experience showed me how powerful these conversations can be. They’re not just about death—they’re about how we live, love, and prepare to leave behind something meaningful.
Hosting Café Immortelle is deeply personal to me. I’m passionate about creating a space where we can talk openly, listen without judgment, and connect more deeply—with ourselves and each other.
About Kiki Bandilla - Legacy Bridge
Kiki Bandilla is the Founder and Principal of Legacy Bridge, where she offers a holistic, heart-centered approach to legacy planning—helping individuals and families prepare for life’s transitions with intention, clarity, and love. Her work is grounded in the belief that planning for the end of life is not morbid, but deeply meaningful—and one of the greatest gifts we can offer those we love.
Her career spans leadership roles in business, real estate, entrepreneurship, consulting, and senior housing—a chapter she especially cherished for its deep connection to aging and dignity. But it was her personal experience caring for her mother and stepfather through the end of their lives that reshaped her purpose. Their peaceful passings, guided by clearly expressed wishes, stood in sharp contrast to the traumatic and disempowered way her father died without a plan—leaving lasting emotional impact and family division.
Kiki is a presenter for 5 Wishes Advance Directives and is currently training to become a certified death doula. As host of Douglas County’s first Death Café—she is filled with profound joy, pride, and purpose. Through Legacy Bridge, she helps others initiate the courageous conversations that matter, so they can live more fully and leave a legacy of love.
She lives in Castle Rock, Colorado with her husband, Steffen, and their Golden Retriever, Mango.
