About this Death Cafe
Join local End-of-Life Doula Lisa Jennings and Guest-Host End-of-Life Doula Ka Yun Cheng in the TAKES A VILLAGE SPACE, Suite 228, inside the HealthTrax Medical Building for a discussion of death over tea, cake and other snacks.
At a Death Cafe, people—often strangers—gather to discuss death. We invite people in ALL phases of life to come talk about death and dying in a supportive, unstructured way.
Our shared objective is to increase awareness of death with a view towards helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. Expect a group discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a place to talk and explore, rather than a grief support or counseling session. This Death Cafe is open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems.
This will be a confidential space. We ask all participants to refrain from giving advice, criticizing another's beliefs, or offering unsolicited feedback; no products or services will be promoted.

How to Find Us: Pull into the parking lot and stay on the top level - passing the parking structure on your left. Enter through the double doors on the west side of the building (same-day surgery pick-up), directly after passing the parking structure. TAKES A VILLAGE SPACE will be the first office once you come through the double doors.

Lisa Jennings (lisaj@soulpurposedoulas.com) is an INELDA Trained Death Doula and Volunteer for Transitions Lifecare Hospice in Raleigh, NC. For this, our first inaugural Death Cafe, Lisa has invited Guest-Host, Ka Yun Cheng (hello@leavebehindlove.com) who is a certified mediator and INELDA-trained Death Doula from Sunnyvale, CA.
