About this Death Cafe
An opportunity to reflect on our early experiences with death and grief and how they shape our approach to discussing these topics with young people.
Adults who have children and teens in their lives have a unique challenge when talking about dying, death, and grief. The Home Hospice Association Death Cafés for Parents & Guardians actively explore how adult participants can intentionally help the children in their lives by talking about death with them openly and comfortably.
About Mar Morrow
Meet Marlene Morrow, lovingly known as Mar — an HHA-certified Death Doula based in Ontario. With a background in Child and Youth Counselling and a deep passion for end-of-life education, Mar leads Death Cafés and Advance Care Planning Workshops to help people feel more at ease talking about death and dying. She believes everyone deserves to choose the way they leave this world.
