Death Café is a gathering where open-minded people can come together to explore thoughts, dismantle taboos, and normalize the practice of talking about death; one heartfelt conversation at a time. It’s all about embracing the inevitability with a curious spirit and sparking dialogues that illuminate the art of living well by reflecting on our final curtain call. Here, with cups of tea and sweet desserts, we're rewriting the narrative on death and making every moment count with more zest for life.

While Death Cafe is not a grief support group, it is open to anyone interested in deepening their understanding and acceptance of matters related to death and dying.

About Ballard Alki Odd Fellows

The Odd Fellows are a mutual aid co-ed fraternal order, and the heart of their mission is a deep commitment to providing intentional help and kindness to others, especially in sickness and death, through the qualities of Friendship, Love, and Truth. 

This mission aligns with the spirit of Death Cafe, which seeks to normalize conversations about mortality and explore the importance of living well in the face of inevitable death.
