About this Death Cafe

At a Death Cafe, we create space for genuine, unhurried discussion about mortality—a topic that touches all our lives yet rarely finds its way into everyday conversation.

What to expect:

• A welcoming environment where questions and perspectives are shared freely 
• Small group conversations that flow naturally, without agenda or expected outcomes 
• Soup and snacks to enjoy while we talk (vegan options available)
• A chance to explore your thoughts about mortality in good company

This isn’t a grief support group or educational seminar. Instead, we offer a comfortable space where people from all walks of life can share their thoughts about death and dying, helping us all reflect on what makes life meaningful.

About Skanda Vale Hospice

Skanda Vale Hospice is a volunteer-based hospice specialising in palliative care, located in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The hospice is located in the village of Saron, and while independent, it is affiliated with the Skanda Vale multifaith monastery located in the nearby village of Llanpumsaint.
