About this Death Cafe
Our aim at the Clinton Death Café is to provide a friendly, relaxed, and hopefully, fun environment for people to talk about and explore issues surrounding death and end of life, without an agenda, judgement, or criticism. There’s no obligation to speak, you can listen to what others have to say while you sit and enjoy cake, coffee and tea!
About Clinton Death Cafe
About the facilitators
The Clinton Death Cafés are facilitated by one or more of the following individuals:
· Mark Hemendinger is a retired social worker who spent 25 years serving patients and families through the Hospice and Palliative agency in New Hartford, NY.
· Kristin Burkle is an occupational therapist with 35 years of experience.
· Pat Salzer is a retired registered dietitian and currently is a Funeral Associate and Bereavement Support Coordinator. She grew up in a funeral home and held awesome Halloween parties in high school; her friends still talk about them.
· Shauna Malta is a physical therapist, who enjoys consulting with Hospice and Palliative Care.
Collectively these individuals have 143 years of experience working in health care as well as involvement in community education.
