About this Death Cafe

This Death Cafe is aimed at undergraduate students who are undertaking health related courses at University of Cumbria. It is to encourage them to speak to others about death, dying and grief, as it will often become a focal point during their career in healthcare.

But everyone is obviously welcome as it will be helpful to the students who attend as well.

About Institute of Health

Ingvar A. Ingvarsson is a lecturer in adults nursing at University of Cumbria. He is a qualified nurse with background in Acute and Emergency Medicine and Forensic Mental Health specialising in Acquired Brain Injury.

Clare Shepherd is the chaplain at University of Cumbria, based in Lancaster.

Ian Dewar is lead chaplain for the local health trust. He has organised and hosted previous successful Death Cafes in Lancaster.

Amy Bland is chaplain for the local health trust.
