Alexandria Death Cafe is an opportunity to gather with a group of friendly, earnest people from your community and talk about death and dying. It's a beautiful opportunity to explore your questions, fears, and thoughts about death and loss that are often not welcome in other social contexts. Death shows up in many ways in our lives, not just end of life, and you're also welcome at this Death Cafe to explore the thematic and metaphorical ways that death is showing up for you -- through other forms of loss, transition, and grief.

RSVPs are required for this Death Cafe as seating is limited.

Light snacks will be provided. Donations are accepted for this event.

About Krista Oberlander and Jane Miller

Krista Oberlander, LCSW, RYT-500 is a licensed clinical social worker and certified Kripalu yoga instructor.  She retired from the City of Alexandria Department of Community and Human Services after a 30- year career working with children and families.  She enjoys teaching and practicing yoga with those with special health needs or students that are not interested in practicing in a studio environment.

Jane Miller is an energy worker and death doula who loves to create safe, friendly spaces to explore death conversationally.
