About this Death Cafe

Our Death Café at Fox Point Farms is inspired by the belief that openly discussing death can help us live more fully. Too often, death is a topic avoided or feared, yet it’s an inevitable part of life. By creating a safe and welcoming space for these conversations, we hope to reduce the stigma, bring clarity to end-of-life planning, and support one another through life’s transitions.

This is our first event at Fox Point Farms, and we’re excited to build a community where these important conversations can flourish. The event will be informal, with no set agenda—just a supportive atmosphere where participants can share experiences, ask questions, or simply listen. Whether you’re facing a personal loss, planning for the future, or simply curious, you’ll find connection and understanding here.

About Nicole Soares

Nicole Soares is an end-of-life educator, estate planner, death doula, financial expert, and after-death care specialist in Southern California to facilitate empowered, meaningful, and ecologically responsible deaths. She is a compassionate guide and dedicated advocate for planning, informed choice, holistic therapies, and green burial and water cremation options. With 34 years of experience in financial services solving tough fraud and credit challenges, Nicole is uniquely equipped to help others not only with their emotional, spiritual, and ritual needs, but also with the complex financial decisions that are often part of the end-of-life journey.
