About Davinica Nemtzow & Thomas Memorial Library

Davinica Nemtzow is a community organizer, certified Mindful Outdoor Guide, and death enthusiast. She is dedicated to bringing together people in inclusive, fulfilling, and creative ways.

Through her small business, Kaneel, Davinica teaches mindfulness through the context of nature. She is fascinated with the beauty of death and decomposition in the wild. From food webs to the forest floor, nature doesn't just have death but thrives on it. When we allow ourselves to step beyond the taboo of talking about death, we can cultivate better relationships with ourselves, our loved ones, and the planet that we inhabit.

She loves talking about Jewish death rituals, creating more equitable access to death, and eco-friendly body disposition methods.
