About this Death Cafe

Death informs life.  By talking about it, by holding the conversation, and by caring listening, today's choices about how we want to live our lives can become much more clear.

Join us for a group-directed conversation about life, death and living life through the end of life.

About Compassionate Transitions

After a career in healthcare, Nancy Macke found her calling in building relationships to help people navigate some of life's most challenging transitions; specifically those facing end-of-life or life-limiting illness and those contemplating driving retirement.

Nancy is a Certified End-of-life Doula, Elder Care Doula and Doula Care Consultant, member of the International Doulagivers Membership Association and National End-of-Life Doula Association. In January 2024, Nancy earned her NEDA Proficiency badge. She is a hospice volunteer doula and recipient of the 2024 Donna West Memorial Award (North Region).

Additionally, Nancy has over 10 years of experience working with older drivers and their families guiding collaborative conversations about driving retirement.
