About this Death Cafe

A Death Cafe is a safe and LGBTQ+-friendly space for people to sit down comfortably (preferably in front of a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake) and have an open conversation about death, grief and everything connected to it. The aim is to increase awareness of death and break down the taboos that surround it, ultimately to help people make the most of their lives. The discussions are led by the people present, and they have no agenda or direction, so that each death cafe is entirely unique and unpredictable. Conversations are light-hearted, supportive and empathetic and will happen in a small group of people. You will have the chance to talk about anything you wish, but you can also just sit and listen if you would prefer.

This is a very open group and welcome anyone to our free event. Whilst booking is not required, it will help us run the event. The Death Café is a not-for-profit initiative.
