About this Death Cafe

Death Cafe is back in Tallahassee! Since COVID, we have had less and less safe spaces to talk about death. Join us for an informal discussion about death, grief, loss, the funeral industry and anything in between once a month! Coffee, cake, genuine conversation, and connection provided. This is a free event but donations are welcome! Bring a blanket, come as you are and we will see you at Lichgate!

About Adrienne Capeless

After unexpectedly losing my father in 2022, I noticed how important talking about death and dying was for grief and reducing taboo around death. Our community needs more death postiive resources and I've always been an advocate for creating safe spaces. I'm a LCSW-private practice owner in the area, an avid dog mom, taphophile, weightlifter, and trivia nerd. Leading this Death Cafe is deeply personal rather than it being a professional endeavor. I love that anyone can lead a Death Cafe and I look forward to providing one in our town. See you all soon!
