About this Death Cafe
I really like the idea of normalising death in life, and think discussing death in a cafe setting, with drinks and cake is a very good idea!
I am hosting this death cafe because I am interested in a peer discussion around death.
For this first event, I will very lightly facilitate what I hope will be a space where those who want to talk about death can do so comfortably, and I will encourage us all to offer good listening.
About pammy michell
I am a retired social worker, trainer and counsellor, presently teaching mindfulness and co counselling. I have long had a professional and personal interest in death and dying, and have attended and lead all sorts of related workshops. I was present when two of my family members died, and found the experiences to be extremely powerful. Several of my friends have died, in a variety of ways, and I have learnt much from their experiences. I am keen to bring the topic of death into everyday life, which I think would help us all face our own and others' deaths with less fear.
