About Davinica Nemtzow

Davinica builds inclusive communities that honor our collective growth, healing, and sense of belonging through connection to each other and immersion in nature. Davinica has had many educational experiences, traditional and revolutionary, that have shaped her relationship with the world including earning her certification as a Mindful Outdoor Guide from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health; serving as a community organizer and educator in Philadelphia for 10 years; earning her BFA from Moore College of Art & Design; growing up in outdoor Montessori classrooms; being raised by farmers, fishermen, and chefs who showed her how to live in reciprocity with the land; and most importantly, her experience as a part of many queer, Jewish, and activist communities that have taught her resiliency, radical hospitality, and ancestral wisdom.

Davinica and her dog live in Portland, ME where she loves to explore Maine’s wild spaces, indulge in local food, and watch the sunrise over Back Cove every morning. Davinica currently serves her local community through her leadership of Cold Water Queers, as a Water Reporter for Friends of Casco Bay, and as a volunteer with Friends of Woodfords Corner.
