About this Death Cafe

I ran my first Death Cafe in Sydney, Australia in September 2014 and since then have done so on a regular basis.  Since childhood, I have experienced diverse spiritual and anomalous phenomena all of which have taught me that we are more than our mortal selves, and that our existence continues beyond physical death.  

We all need to start talking about death in a constructive way, and it seems to me that we need our whole life to prepare for our death in order to come to terms with our mortality.  Death Cafe is about conversation, it's about telling stories and exploring our relationship with our mortality in a safe, warm and open space.

About Michele Knight

Michele is a social worker, social scientist, ADC/NDE experiencer and researcher, author and educator, specialising in bereavement and grief, transpersonal spirituality, and the afterlife.  She holds a PhD in Social Work specialising in bereavement, grief, spirituality and the afterlife.
