About this Death Cafe

We'll create an open space for people to discuss whatever feels most culturally urgent as far as death and dying is concerned. The Crossing resource can act as a prompt or ice breaker to get people thinking and talking. People can stay for 5 minutes or 2 hours and depending on numbers, we'll either talk as a whole group or allow people to mingle more informally.

About Matthew Bellwood

The Crossing is part of Ellie Harrison's award winning body of projects, The Grief series. Ellie and Matthew created The Crossing in response to their own experiences of organising funerals and wanted to make the conversation easier for others. The Grief Series has toured internationally working with everyone from five year olds to professors in palliative care.
