I am pleased that SFPL is hosting/promoting this event. We will start with a poem to set the mood and go around to introduce ourselves. Whether you've attended previous cafes or this is your very first, each has a unique flavor and we welcome everyone's participation. A rare opportunity for authentic sharing about our beliefs, fears, and experiences around this stigmatized topic.

I have been cohosting Death Cafes for many years (most frequently at the Potrero branch library) and look forward to hosting this one at the Parkside branch.
