About this Death Cafe
Our aim at the Clinton Death Cafe is to provide a friendly, relaxed, and, hopefully, fun environment for people to talk about and explore issues surrounding death and end of life, without an agenda, judgment, or criticism.
There's no obligation to speak: you can listen to what others have to say while you sit and enjoy cake and tea!
About Kristin Burkle, Mark Hemendinger, Pat Salzer and Shauna Malta
The facilitators of the Clinton Death Cafe are Kristin, an Occupational Therapist, and Mark, a retired Hospice Social Worker. Between them they have 40 years of experience working with the elderly and terminally ill patients.
Pat grew up in a funeral home (and had awesome Halloween parties in high school) and had a long career in nutrition and wellness. She is currently a funeral associate.
Shauna is Prof. emeritus at Utica University.
