About this Death Cafe

Put the kettle on and settle in for a lively conversation about death!

Co-hosts Jenny Wilde and Jaina Bee invite you to participate in our monthly third Thursday online circle, open to all folx who are curious and/or delighted to converse on the one thing we'll all have in common. Cake is encouraged!

A Death Café is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes, and does not promote any particular beliefs. It is an open, respectful and confidential space where people can express their views safely, rather than a grief support or counseling session. And it is always free!

Death Café was founded by Jon Underwood, based on the work of Bernard Crettaz. Lizzy Miles was the first person to offer Death Café in the US. You can find more information at

Our online workshops are hosted as Zoom meetings. If you are using a phone, please be sure to download and test the app before the class. Due to the sensitive material being discussed, these events are not recorded.

We are now providing closed captioning for all of our events. While the live transcription is not perfect, we feel the increased accessibility is worth the occasional errors.

Registration is accepted up until one hour before the event.

The Raven's Wing endeavors to create and maintain a safe environment in which all attendees can feel well met. As such we do not tolerate racist, sexist, ageist, ableist, transphobic or homophobic speech or actions in our spaces. When shopping with us or attending one of our events, you agree to monitor your speech and behavior to uphold this atmosphere of mutual respect. Anyone found violating this agreement will be asked to leave.
