About this Death Cafe
Like all Death Cafes, this is just an opportunity for a group of people to talk about this very important subject. There will be no "expert presentations" and certainly nothing commercial. We are having it at the same time and in the same neighborhood as the Wednesday Portland Farmers' Market on purpose! Bring a lunch, if you like. We will have cake for everyone.
About First Congregational Church
Bill Crane has had an avocation as a "midwife-to-the-dying" for more than 40 years and has hosted quite a few Death Cafes in recent years. He is honored to have been asked by First Congregational Church in Portland to facilitate this first, of many, we hope, Death Cafe for the church and wider community.
