Following our last Death Cafe and the response received, we are hosting another albeit for a slightly longer period of time to allow for more discussion.

This cafe is being hosted as a women-only event.

About Claire Murphy & Jacquetta Gomes

Claire is a meditation teacher within the Buddhist tradition, and the topic of Impermanence along with Death & Dying is visited regularly. Her 'day job' works with people with life-limiting conditions, in particular brain injury. She has practised within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for more than 20 years.

Jacquetta was a founder in 1991 and also the Secretary of BGKT Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada). She is also a Fire Chaplain. Jacquetta was authorised to teach The Dhamma by Venerable Balangoda Ananda Maitreya Mahanayaka Thera in 1983, and by Venerable Hammalawa Saddhatissa Maha Thera Chief Sangha Nayaka of the UK in 1984.
