About this Death Cafe
As an adjunct service to their Advance Care Planning community workshops, Palliative Care WA is hosting a series of Death Cafes in 2023 across the Perth Metropolitan area.
We firmly believe that it's only by discussing such matters openly and hearing a variety of opinions and experiences that we can begin to get a sense of what we might want (or not want) for our own end-of-life care.
This first Death Cafe for 2023 will be held in the wonderful, relaxed P&M (Pickles & Moo) cafe and wine bar centrally located in the Wembley/West Leederville/Subiaco area.
No charge to attend the Death Cafe, but please purchase your own tea/coffee and or refreshments.
We are certain any new customers to P&M will go away as friends given the warm hospitality and superb fare of the P&M hosts.
About Dr Margaret Sealey
Dr Margaret Sealey is a thanatologist who has worked in the end-of-life space for over 25 years. She is committed to improving end-of-life, as well as grief and bereavement outcomes for those left behind. To do this, she believes people must be supported to make their own informed decisions to facilitate a good death and this requires time and being able to speak freely and openly about death, dying, and grief.
