About this Death Cafe
I have had close-up experiences with Death, with the death of my Sister and parents. As I age, I find my own relationship with impermanence and loss is increasingly central. My hope would be to provide a warm, open settiing where everyone is welcome to bring whatever issues are relevant to them. I will provide delicious cake! The Market Tavern is a beautiful space offered for our use free of charge by Leedham Natural Burials, who have been great supporters of the Death Cafe in the past.

I am a retired NHS clinician, currently working as a Gestalt counsellor with clients in the Forest of Dean, Monmouth and Chepstow. I have been a keen attender of Death Cafes in London and locally for a number of years and started up the Monmouth Cafe before Covid. This is a welcome return!
