About this Death Cafe
This is a safe, informal and free space for women to talk about life and death.
The Women's Death Cafe welcomes all participants, be they cis, trans, non-binary, etc., to get together and exchange stories, feelings and thoughts... because recognising death as an integral part of life might prompt us to live more fully.
Please remember that having the video on during the meeting is essential for safety and togetherness.
Also, November's Women's Death Cafe will be part of Lifting the Lid Festival, an international online festival that lifts the lid on everything death and dying. This Death Cafe will be limited to a maximum of 12 women, who will also be able to participate in the other activities of the festival. So, this time it won't be me sending the link for the Women's Death Cafe, but instead, when the booking is full in Eventbrite, the organisers of Lifting the Lid will send you an email with the instructions on how to access it.

Much love,

About Mariana García
I am a psychologist with experience in clinical psychology, research, teaching and psychosocial projects.
After finishing my Masters in Community Psychology, I started working with vulnerable communities, but a few years later my dad died and since then (2015) I have dedicated myself to deepening my knowledge about death and dying, while also donating my time and skills to different charities and hospices where I have worked with the ill, the elderly and the bereaved.
This process led me to become an end of life doula (first in the USA and now in the UK) and, therefore, I now dedicate myself to supporting individuals and their loved ones through the process of living and dying.
