About this Death Cafe

As someone who is often invited into intimate spaces of life and death, I have seen seeing a real need for having honest conversations about death. And this, has led me, here to Death Cafe. 

So, join us for open, honest dialogue about death, in a church undercroft. Conversations are completely secular (no Jesus talk, I promise). However, there will be that church tea, coffee and baked goods that tend to make you feel like you are wrapped in a warm blanket available.

Hi Y'all!

My name is Essie (she/her). I'm a queer pastor in West Baltimore. In a previous life I was a social worker in Kansas. I love coffee, books and lavender. And I love real, open and honest conversations (especially about death).
