About this Death Cafe
Join the Chicago Death Doula Collective for a Death Cafe on Wednesday, July 13, from 7-9 p.m. at Guild Row. Meet other curious minds to discuss end of life planning, hospice, death and dying.
Donations are encouraged, and proceeds will go toward the Chicago Death Doula Collective's incorporation as a nonprofit. Light snacks will be provided.
What is a Death Cafe?
"Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session."
What is a death doula?
Death doulas (also known as end of life doulas) provide non-medical care, logistical support and other guidance before, during, and after death.
About The Chicago Death Doula Collective
The Chicago Death Doula Collective is a network of death doulas and death workers. We provide Chicagoans with holistic, inclusive and accessible death care and education while demystifying death.
