About Heather Servaty-Seib, Jessica Joya, Andrea Gerke and Andrea

Heather is a professor at Purdue with a key focus on death and dying issues.  She and her research team are invested in the “making death talkable.”  Heather has served as the president of the Association for Death Education and Counseling and received co-edited the 3^rd edition of the Handbook of Thanatology. 

Jessica works at Purdue University as a Student Support Specialist within the Computer Information Technology Department of Purdue Polytechnic Institute. Jessica has co-hosted Death Cafes for the past three years and enjoys the opportunity to bring others together to talk freely about death and dying issues. 

Andrea is a Clinical Psychologist and works as a staff therapist at Purdue University. She has lead grief support groups and runs the Death Café of Middlebury Indiana.
