About this Death Cafe

DEATH.
Perhaps the most avoided word in the dictionary, but not anymore!

Death Cafe is an opportunity for all members of the community to gather, eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Lets admit it, most of us at some point or another have wanted to discuss the beautiful impermanence of life right? What if discussing the truth of dying helped us heal our relationship to fear and our mortality. What if this also healed our relationship with life?

The objective of Death Cafe is 'to increase awareness of death with a view of helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

Death Cafes are always offered:

- On a not for profit basis

- In an accessible, respectful and confidential space

- With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action

Lets create community and talk about death!
