About this Death Cafe

As soon as I heard about the Death Cafe idea I knew it was a winner and wanted to be involved. Whenever I come across someone who has been diagnosed with a terminal disease I realise that British people do not talk enough about death. As a result when death happens they are ill-equipped to ask for help and other people are ill-equipped to offer it.

Many of the other cultures that I have had the priviledge of visiting have completely different approaches to death and are not constrained by the need to "appear strong"  or "cope well"

This Death Cafe hopes to bring together people from  different cultures so we can learn from each other. If you are white British but more importantly if you are not then this Death Cafe is for you. Join us from wherever you are in the world to see where we go together!

You can reserve your place now via:

www.stephenclarke.fr.

The booking system seems to require a minimum donation  of £1 so we are trying to find a way around this. Please send us a message if this is a barrier to you joining and we will pass on the joining link the day before.

About Knowledge Exchange

Steve Clarke, born in the United Kingdom, worked for 30 years in International Relief and Devleopment before putting his experience to further use as a business trainer and moving to France. He has supported projects in 25 countries in Africa and Asia - mostly with refugees - in emergency and post emergency situations.

All of this experience has led him to create Knowledge Exchange which aims to help people develop and build better relationships in the home, at work and amongst their circle of freinds.

Steve has conducted two marriages and two funerals as celebrant because he was asked to do so by friends and friends of friends.

Steve loves to work with groups of people and is very frustrated that Covid restrictions have prevented this for the past year. He has been married for 35 years to Sarah and has two children who both work in the creative arts sector.
