About this Death Cafe
As Selena Godden says at the start of her amazing book, Mrs Death Misses Death,
"Spoiler alert, were all going to die"
We absolutely know that this is an organic truth but too often we dont want to talk about it. I believe that Jon Underwood gifted us the opportunity to do so by starting 'Death Cafe'. At Death Cafe Carlisle we meet in the warm and friendly atmosphere of Cakes & Ale cafe and talk about death amidst steaming cups of tea and coffee, then we go and get on with the business of living.

Tracy is a death positive advocate a member of the Good Death a funeral celebrant and a PhD student with the End of Life Studies group at Glasgow University.
I believe that talking about death in a safe space enables us to go on and live our best life. Tracy x
