About this Death Cafe

Join our first online Death Cafe with Death Cafe Manila! Wherever you are located within the Philippines or even abroad, please feel free to join this online Death Cafe. 

We're hoping to make this into a monthly meeting and in the future conduct this in person! To prioritize everyone's health, we are holding these sessions online for now.

About Camille Armas

Hello my name is Camille Armas. For most of my life, I've been highly aware of death. I didn't have any feelings towards death, I just knew that it is there and inevitable. With the recent deaths of family members, friends, and the entire pandemic happening - I discovered the Death Doula community in 2020. In early 2021, I undertook Death Doula training with Going with Grace-End of Life Planners earlier this year and it was a beautiful time. Death Doulas do incredibly important work in helping people transition and come to terms with their death. What I discovered is that I am not prepared to do that work, at least for now, at this stage of my life. With the gift of that training, I hope to be able to help others with these Death Cafes and hopefully help facilitate these safe spaces for others as well.
