Welcome to Death Cafe in Chula Vista! If you like to enjoy cake, tea and talking about death then Death Cafe is for you! We offer a pleasant and respectful space for people who are comfortable to express their unique thoughts, curiosities and experiences of death and dying.
Please join us at 5:30 p.m to enjoy cake, tea and coffee. Our open agenda discussion begins at 6:00 p.m.

Lorraina Groves- Before and After Death Doula
Being a Death Doula is in my blood! Helping an individual while transitioning and being present for families is what I do best.
What I bring to the table is years of knowledge and experience. With that, I educate community! My focus is to bring the awareness around death and educate society about death positive movement.
Erricka De La Mancha- Aspiring Death Doula
I am an advocate in the Death Positive movement because I believe embracing our mortality helps us to enjoy being alive. The awareness of my passion for human aging and death and dying began within the last two years when I became a student at the Univeristy of Nebraska Omaha where I study Gerontology. I believe my life experiences has been in preparation to pursue death work and it starts with hosting this Death Cafe! Death Cafe has been a safe space for me to share my perspective and learn from others about being a finite human being. With love, we create that opportunity in our community.
